Bhatkal: The A J Institute of Dental Sciences in association with Rotary Club, Kalyanpur organized an awareness program on oral health and ill effects of tobacco for the students of Government First Grade College, Bhatkal on August 26.
Talk on oral health was given by Dr Roshan Shetty – reader and Dr Karan – lecturer, Department of Public Health Dentistry, A. J. Institute of Dental Sciences.
Dr Prerna – post graduate student – Department of Public Health Dentistry, A. J. Institute of Dental Sciences spoke on ill effects of tobacco.
A video titled “Womb to Tomb” depicting the ill effects of tobacco was projected and a role play titled “True Lies” on adverse effects of tobacco was performed by the postgraduates and interns of A J Institute of Dental Sciences.
President of Rotary Club – Kalyanpur – Rtn Anand Shetty, Ex –MLA- Bhatkal – Mr K.D. Naik, Mr Alan Lewis – Assistant Governor – 3180 – Rotary District, Ravi L Naik – Youth leader Bhatkal and Rtn Sanjeev and Rtn Ramanna were present at the event.
