Mangaluru: “The South Canara Teachers Association has organised the Mangalore Physiocon since the late 90s whose Chairman has been Dr UT Ifthikar Ali. More than 55 Physiotherapy Colleges participated in this year’s International Conference held at T.M.A Pai Convention Centre on 25th and 26th March 2022. In support of this endeavour, The Department of Physiotherapy of Father Muller Medical College organised a Post Conference Hands-on Workshop on “Hand and Foot Biokinesiology” on March 27 in the Conference Hall from 9 am to 5 pm. Around 150 Physiotherapy students registered for this Post Conference Workshop.
The Resource Person for the workshop was Prof. (Dr) Amit Sharma, PT, PhD, Deputy Director, School of Physiotherapy, RK University.
The inaugural programme started at 10:00 am by welcoming the dignitaries Rev. Fr Richard Aloysius Coelho, Director and President, FMCI; Rev. Fr Rudolph Ravi D’sa, Administrator, FMCH; Rev. Fr Ajith Menezes, Administrator, FMMC; Dr Antony Sylvan D’souza, Dean, FMMC; D Vedavysa Kamath, Chief Guest; Dr Chaitanya Shivanand, Guest of Honour, Dr UT Ifthikar Ali, Organising Chairman; Prof. Sydney Roshan Rebello, Organising Secretary and Cherishma Dsilva, Course Coordinator, Department of Physiotherapy. The event was compered by Rinku Roshan and commence with a prayer song sung by the BPT and MPT students.”
