Mangaluru: The annual sports meet, “Pratibha 2017”, organised by Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital, was inaugurated at its grounds in Deralakatte on December 9, by Chief Guest Ashok T, Circle Inspector of Konaje Police Station by hoisting the flag and releasing balloons in the air.
In his address to the gathering, he stressed the importance of sports, games and physical exercise in the life of every person and especially, in the lives of students, as they are burdened with lots of studies. “One hour a day in the ground brings physical and mental fitness and peace of mind”, he added.
Rev. Fr. Vincent Saldanha, Administrator; Rev. Fr. Sylvester Vincent Lobo, Assistant Administrator; Dr. E S J Prabhu Kiran, Principal In-charge; Dr. Sajan K R, Sports Coordinator; Chennakeshava, Physical Education Instructor; Goutham K S, Sports Secretaryand faculty members were present at the event.
The march-past, led by different houses, was the main attraction of the event. Upendranath, President of the Students’ Association welcomed the dignitaries and Gautham K S proposed a vote of thanks.
