Mangaluru: The twelfth episode of Career Guidance with Prof. Ronald Pinto on ‘How to Pass IAS and KAS’ was premiered on Saturday December 4.

Spearhead Media Group Director Brian Fernandes hosted the show by NewsKarnataka, which is powered by Loyala College, Bengaluru.

Brian in an introductory note said, “power and money is something which everyone aspires for. And the power to serve can be facilitated only by civil services like IAS, IPS, KAS and so on.

Prof. Ronald Pinto putforth his view on why he thinks IAS and KAS are the most prestigious in the country. He said, the amount of power and service which the District Magistrate enjoy is unparalleled. In this particular field, one can serve the society in a better way.

Prof. Ronald Pinto proceeded further explaining the various stages of UPSC examination and gave insight into the syllabus of the exam.

He further noted on the difference between IAS and KAS and pointed out the loopholes in KAS like corruption and irregular and asystematic examination pattern. “As a doctor, one should be stable in attending the patient whose blood is oozing out and same way an IAS officer should be stable like rock to withstand all the political pressures and interferences.”

Stating the aspirants to strengthen the emotional intelligence as much as that of Intellectual capability, Brian signed off.
