Manipal: Mr Harish Bijoor, CEO of Harish Bijoor Consults Inc. inaugurated the marketing forum of School of Management, Forum for Learning and Acquiring Marketing Expertise (FLAME) at the MIT Library Auditorium on Saturday.
Delivering his inaugural address, Bijoor deliberated on the paradigm shift that the world of marketing is experiencing. He opined that integrity is the key idea of the world of marketing of tomorrow. He explained how the idea of branding resembles the idea of “maya”, the idea of metaphysic ability.
Dr. Lakshminarayana Rao, Registrar Evaluation of Manipal University, presided over the inaugural function.
Dr. KVM Varambally, the Director of School of Management delivered the welcome address. Dr. Smitha Nayak compered the program and Professor Raveendra Rao delivered the vote of thanks.

Manipal University Press (MUP) released its 43rd publication, titled “Basic Concepts of Intellectual Property Rights” on August 11, 2015 at Dr P Gundurao seminar hall in Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Manipal University here.
Dr H Vinod Bhat, Vice Chancellor, Manipal University released the book.
The release of the book, authored byManthan D Janodia, Associate Professor, MCOPS, was also streamed live through You Tube.
The book sensitizes undergraduate and post graduate students on various aspects of Intellectual Property Rights(IPRs), providing guidance to research scholars on safeguards to put in place for potentially patentable research and serves as a ready reckoner for faculty members interested to apply for patents.
