Mangaluru: To celebrate the contributions and achievements of men and boys towards the nation, society and community at large, International Men’s Day is observed every year on 19 November. The theme for International Men’s Day 2021 “Better relation between men and women“ focused on the improvement of bond and support between men and women.
On the occasion of this International Men’s Day, Gender Sensitization Cell from Yenepoya Pharmacy College and Research Centre, Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) Mangalore, organized a Program for staff and students on Nov 20th. On this occasion, Dr Mohammed Gulzar Ahmed, Principal and Dean, Yenepoya Pharmacy College and Research Centre gave the welcome speech. Dr Akther Hussain, Principal, Yenepoya Dental College, was the chief guest for the day. He has given a sparking talk on the theme and illustrated how men have the potential to become the global medium to heal our world. A fashion show competition was organized for the students and staff, followed by the prize distribution. The program ended with the vote of thanks by Mrs Sindhu Priya E S., chairperson of Gender Sensitization Cell, YPCRC.
