Mangaluru: The seven-day annual special camp of Milagres College’s NSS unit, was inaugurated on November 22 at 4 PM.
The camp is being held from November 22 to 28 at St Antony English Medium School, Cutinhopadav, Fermai, Mangaluru. The main aim of this camp is ‘Youth for Science and Scientific Attitude’. A total of 55 volunteers are present in the camp.
The camp was inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Louis Cutinho, parish priest, St Antony’s Church, Fermai.
Rev. Fr. Louis Cutinho, addressed the NSS volunteers saying they should to take active participation in the camp and take good memories from it.
Vasanth Kumar, President, Ulaibettu Gram Panchayat said that volunteers should develop themselves by selflessly serving the society.
Anitha Dsouza, Principal, St. Anthony English Medium School, Fermai, said that volunteers must work sincerely for society.
John Pinto, Vice President, Parish pastoral council, Fermai said that they should be good citizen by imbibing good values.
Principal Rev. Fr. Michael Santhumayor presided over the function and expressed that the volunteers should dedicate and determine their service to the society.
Denzil E Pinto, NSS Program Officer, welcomed the gathering. Dencita Machado, NSS Volunteer compered the program. Princita D’Souza, Asst. NSS Program Officer proposed a vote of thanks.
