Mangaluru: The Eighth Mother Mary Aloysia Endowment lecture was organised at the Conference Hall by the IQAC of St Agnes College (Autonomous) on 2 July 2022. The resource person for the lecture was Jacintha Jayachandran, Social Entrepreneur, Leadership & Life coach, Strategic Corporate Advisor, Writer & Public Speaker, Bangalore. In her topic ‘Leading from the front for an equal future’, she emphasized that equality is a human right and supporting special needs in a person’s life is equity.
The greatest equalizer is education itself where women are given opportunities to have it. She stressed that inner happiness for a woman is most important than the outer world and for inner peace, there is no need for validation and approval from people around you. But at times she felt that women did concentrate on the outer world first.
She highlighted on the three C’s, computer, communication and confidence which women should incorporate into their lives. She ended her motivational speech by highlighting on the fact that creating an equal family is the work of both men and women which will bring hope, education and employment to society.
