Mangaluru: National Youth Day at the National Institute of Technology Karnataka Surathkal today at NITK Surathkal, the NSS Unit of NITK organised the commemoration to honour the potential of youth and their contributions to society.
Professor Vadiraja Bhatta G.R., Associate Professor at MIT Manipal, was the featured speaker at the event. The occasion was presided over by the director-in-charge and dean of Faculty Welfare, Professor G. C. Mohan Kumar.
National Youth Day was celebrated today with a variety of cultural activities, speeches in three languages, and the awarding of prizes for competitions. 26th National Youth Festival 2023 ( Viksit Yuva – Viksit Bharat) will be launched by our honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi at Hubli- Dharwad on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.
The NITK E-Library will livestream the National Youth Festival at 4 p.m. today at the E-Library complex. During the ceremony, Dr Veershetty Gumtapure (NSS Program Coordinator), NSS Program Officers, the Joint Registrar, Associate Dean SW, Associate Dean AAIR, Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff, and more than one hundred students were present.
