Mangaluru: International Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery day programme was held at Yenepoya Dental College, Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery on Feb 13, 2023. Professor and head Dr Jagadish Chandra gave the welcome address. Senior maxillofacial Surgeon Dr B H Sripathi Rao was felicitated on this occasion along with felicitation of former Dean Dr Akther Hussain. Dr B H Sripathi Rao spoke regarding Road safety and following traffic rules. He spoke about the role of maxillofacial surgeon’s road traffic accidents.
Dr Akther Hussain, Dr Sham S Bhat, Dr Laxmikanth Chatra, Dr Maji Jose, and Dr Joyce P Sequeira, were present during the programme. A photographic competition, video graphic contest and quiz competition with the theme ‘Saving Lives, Saving Faces’ were conducted and prize distribution was done. A vote of thanks was proposed by Dr Varsha Upadya.
