Mangaluru: Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Ltd. and NSS Unit of PA. College of Engineering jointly organised ‘National Energy Week’ on Saturday, January 1 to bring awareness among students and the public regarding the conservation of renewable energy and proper usage of the same. The event was inaugurated by Padma Shree recipient Harekala Hajabba. Professor Ismail Shafi introduced Hajabba to the gathering.
Principal Dr Rameez M. K., Dean Dr Sayed Ameen Ahmed, NSS Officer of College Prof. Ismail, Physical Education Director Iqbal, Professor Majeed, students, public and staff of the college were present.
Meanwhile, students demonstrated energy conservation. Professor John Valder explained about energy conservation and the benefits of energy conservation. Professor Vittal Bhat compered the event.
