Celebration of Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav

Our Country is celebrating Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav as a part of its 75th year of Independence. During the inauguration of this celebration on 12th March 2021, the Prime Minister decided to celebrate under five subheads as Freedom struggle, Ideas at 75, Achievements at 75, Actions at 75, and Resolve at 75. The Clean India Programme has been planned in the background of the above context and with a view to mobilize public opinion and ensure the involvement of citizens of the country to participate voluntarily in this nationwide drive of waste collection and its disposal.

In view of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Department of Youth Affairs, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports is undertaking a programme on the theme “Clean India 2021”. The program is aimed at creating awareness, mobilization of people and ensuring their involvement in the Clean India initiative which is unique in terms of scale and participation.

To commemorate Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Integration Day), which is celebrated on the occasion of Vallabhbhai Patel’s birth anniversary, the organisers, guests, staff, students and localities who made this noble cause successful, took a pledge “to maintain the unity” during this programme.
