The program’s main objective is to provide Value-Based Education and Life Skills to children by the LIFE Team Members of SDMIMD. The students are trained and enriched with Value-Based education and Life Skills for 16 sessions spread across 8 Weeks. The staff members from the Department of Public Libraries and the teachers from the Education Department at the Tent School extended guidance and support in carrying out the activities. Rotary Club South-East has extended the support by providing the activity support materials and requirements for this initiative.
The activities are designed to introduce and educate children from different age groups about the technology, happenings and essential skills needed to adapt to the fast-moving world. The initiative has also designed certain activities regarding personality development skills which will help them survive in the current scenario.
During the activity on the first day, the volunteers interacted with the students to learn about their culture and way of living. SDMIMD Students were privileged to step into the shoes of the young minds of the mahout’s family and taught them value-based skills through Team Building, Leadership, and Critical Thinking activities.
