Mysuru: SDM Institute for Management Development (SDMIMD), bestowed the Distinguished Alumnus Award for the year 2022 upon the popular Columnist, Author, Speaker, Start-up Mentor, Angel Investor and CEO of Aim High Consulting, N. Ravi Shankar. Ravi was an alumnus of the institute’s flagship program – Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) during 1997-1999.
The award was presented to the proud alumnus by the Institute Director, Dr N.R. Parasuraman, on the occasion of the SDMIMD Foundation Day Celebration held on Saturday, September 24, at its campus in the foothills of Chamundi.
Speaking on receiving the award, Ravi Shankar said, ‘Privileged and Honoured, to be the first recipient of the award and overwhelmed, to be ‘the chosen one’, among 27 batches that have passed out of our renowned MBA Institution. Words fail me because it is easy to be recognized and rewarded by ‘strangers’! But, to win the respect of those who know you very well in your alma mater feels very special. I’m happy, honoured and humbled.’
Earlier, the SDMIMD Deputy Director, Dr S.N. Prasad, presented the installation note of the award and introduced the award winner for the year 2022.
Dr M.R. Suresh, Professor of Marketing, SDMIMD, presented the vote of thanks.
Shri. Niranjan Nayak, President of the SDMIMD Alumni Association and Dr M V Sunil, Faculty and coordinator of Alumni affairs joined the presentation of the award to Shri. Ravishankar.
