Mangaluru: SICASA (Southern India Chartered Accountants Students Associaton), Mangaluru Branch, which was set up in the year 1972 touched a milestone of 50 years & celebrated Golden Jubilee on Jan 7 in Virtual Mode. The occasion was graced by CA. Panna Raj S., Secretary – SIRC of ICAI as the Chief Guest, CA. Naresh C. Gelli, Chairman – SICASA as the Guest of Honour, CA. Geetha A. B., Member – SIRC of ICAI & CA. Cotha S. Srinivas, Central Council Member Elect as the Special Invitees.
The occasion was celebrated by cutting a cake & also launching of the Activity Report of SICASA Mangaluru for the year 2021. The Guests congratulated the Branch on this momentous occasion & also highlighted that not many Branches of Student Association across India have completed this feat. They also highlighted how vibrant the Students Association has been over the years.
CA. K. Subramanya Kamath, Chairman of Mangaluru Branch of SIRC of ICAI welcomed the gathering, CA. Gautham Pai D., Chairman of Mangaluru Branch of SICASA highlighted the journey of 50 glorious years & also emphasized important events that were stand out each year, CA. Prasanna Shenoy M., Secretary of Mangaluru Branch of SIRC of ICAI shared the concluding remarks & Ancita Gonsalves, Secretary of Mangaluru Branch of SICASA proposed the Vote of Thanks. Adithya N. Rao”, Vice Chairman of Mangaluru Branch of SICASA was also present on the dais & the event was compered by *Ms. Nerissa Noronha.
Also, present on the occasion were the Managing Committee Members CA. Anantha Padmanabha, Past Chairman, CA. S. S. Nayak, Immediate Past Chairman, CA. Abdur Rahman Musba, Vice Chairman, CA. Gautham Nayak, Treasurer of the Branch as well as the SICASA Committee Members of the Branch.
