Mangaluru: The Post Graduate Department of Commerce, Centre for Post Graduate Studies and Research, St Agnes College (Autonomous), organised a One Day Professional Development Course on “Dynamics of Excel” on Dec 7, 2022. Dr Jnaneshwar Pai Maroor, Assistant Professor, Department of Humanities, NMAMIT, NITTE (Deemed to be University) was the resource person for the course. The beneficiaries of the session were Final Year Post Graduate Commerce students and faculty.
The session started by seeking God’s blessings by Rolvi Vivin Dsilva and group. Lykhith Melita Pera welcomed and introduced the speaker. Dr Dolan Champa Banerjee, Head of the Post Graduate Department of Commerce, compered the session.
Excel helps the user to analyze both categorical and numeric data. Today corporate expects employees to handle huge data systematically. Hence the objective of the program was to make the students grasp advanced excel skills. Dr Maroor highlighted excel structure, ribbons and QAT, shortcuts, formulae, protection rule, radar charts, VLookup functionalities, pivot tables and many more concepts which kept the students engaged throughout.
The session was enriching for the students. Zakir Taskin, a final year M.Com student proposed the vote of thanks. The students received certificates for attending the Course.
