Mangaluru: The Valedictory programme of the year 2022 of St Agnes College (Autonomous) was held on 14 July 2022, at the Mother Mary Aloysia Centenary Auditorium. The final year students of the Post graduate and undergraduate classes were ushered in ceremoniously, led by the College band, Principal, Deans, Registrar and the College Cabinet.

The theme of the Valedictory programme was “To Serve with Love”. The programme included a prayer song, welcome dance, a Kannada skit titled “Hasivu” and a farewell song, all of which emphasised on the need to use their learning and skills for the benefit of humanity and to serve every purpose with love. The highlight of the programme was the Principal’s message where she urged the students to adhere to the principles inculcated by them in the college. She prayed for their well-being and wished for them a fruitful future. She ended by emphasizing the need to give to society and quoted from the scriptures to convey the same.

The Student Presidents of the undergraduate programme and post graduate programme Rhea Sequeira and Sarah Monis, respectively, spoke on the occasion and expressed their sentiments of nostalgia and gratefulness for their growth and joyful experiences in the college. The undergraduate cabinet of 2021-2022 offered a parting gift, a guitar, to the college.

The Valedictory programme was organised by the Postgraduate Department of English, along with the undergraduate departments of Kannada, Political Science and Journalism. Sona of II BA compered the programme.
