003 St Aloysius College Organizes Aloysius Art League Main

Mangaluru: St Aloysius College (Autonomous) organized Aloysius Art League – Season 2 on 4th and 5th Nov. 4, 5  2022 in Gelge Auditorium. 

Rev. Fr Melwin Joseph Pinto SJ, Rector of St Aloysius institutions was the chief guest for the program. Rev Dr Praveen Martis SJ, Principal presided over the program. Dr Alwyn DSa, the Registrar, Mr Santhosh Notagar and Ms Vidya Kumari, staff coordinators, Tapasvi R Vachhani and Prerna Tolani, student coordinators were on the dais. 

Rev Fr Melwin Joseph Pinto in his address gave words of inspiration and knowledge. Rev Dr Praveen Martis in his Presidential remarks congratulated the organisers for organizing such a beautiful event and motivated the students to take part in more such events. Dr Alwyn DSa appreciated the art done by the participants.

The events held on day one were Sketching, Painting, Digital designing, Rangoli, Clay Modelling and Mehendi. There was a surprise event conducted on Soap Bar Carving which was really interesting and kept the participants in awe. The events held on day two were Craft designing, Face painting and Logo designing. The surprise event for day 2 was nail art. All the teams gave their very best and The Kefi Crew Team won the I Place and Creative Waves Team were the runners up.

Ms Vidya Kumari welcomed the gathering. Prerna proposed the vote of thanks.  

The valedictory program was held on 5th November. Dr Charles Lobo, Director of Admin Block was the chief guest. Former Rector, Rev. Fr Denzil Lobo, SJ, Principal, Rev. Dr Praveen Martis, SJ, Registrar, Dr Alwyn DSa were on the dais. 

Dr Charles Furtado in his speech described beginning his new journey as a director and appreciated the active participation of the students in the extra and co-curricular activities. Rev. Dr Praveen Martis in his speech applauded the students’ creativity in art. Fr Denzil Lobo shared a few of his memories in the past at Aloysius Campus. 

After the formal programme, prize distribution was held by the dignitaries. 

Tapasvi compered the programme and welcomed the gathering. Prerna proposed the vote of thanks.
