St Joseph’s Institute of Management celebrates 21st Foundation Day

Bengaluru: St. Joseph’s Institute of Management observed its foundation day on November 23.

63 students both from the first and second year PGDM course were awarded scholarships. Amongst the recognitions was also a special award that was bestowed by the management for the efforts of students beyond the call of their curriculum. Vineeth Shiyal was recognized for helping initiate 4 Toastmasters clubs at SJIM in the year 2017.

B Muthuraman, Former Chairman, Tata International Ltd, Former Vice Chairman, Tata Steel Limited, and the Chief Guest of the day, in his address to the students, stressed the importance of sports and music alongside academics. He advised the students to seek self-development in their passion towards their goals.

Other distinguished guests at the function, were Rev. Father Anthony Joseph, Rector, St. Joseph’s Institutions; Rev. Father Jason Furtado, Secretary and Treasurer of Bangalore Jesuit Educational Society.

The Foundation day provides an opportunity to the institution to recognize deserving students striving for excellence with scholarships that will help them on their journey towards their goals. The Institute’s management provides these scholarships in the belief that these deserving students will utilize the funds that these scholarships provide to obtain additional certifications and competencies that will strengthen their profiles.
