Addressing the gathering during the consultative meeting of the principals as a part of the Youth Red Cross training programme at the University College recently, he added that students should think beyond the syllabus to carve their future.
College Education Joint Director Dr. S B Appaji Gowda opined that Red Cross is needed to develop a service-oriented mindset among students.
State Youth Red Cross former Adviser Dr. H S Suresh, Red Cross officer Yathish Baikampady, senior advisor Prabhakara Sharma, Principal Dr. Uday Kumar M A also spoke on increasing the scope of Red Cross in different levels. Meanwhile, Prof. P S Yadapadithaya was felicitated on behalf of the Red Cross.
Mangalore University Youth Red Cross Nodal Officer Dr. Ganapati Gowda managed the event.
Earlier, Youth Red Cross District President Rtn PHF C A Shantharama Shetty inaugurated the training programme.
Mangalore University NSS Coordinator delivered the vote of thanks, while Shruti mastered the ceremony.
