Mangaluru: University College Mangaluru Computer Science Assistant Professor Dr Bharathi Pilar received the state-level “Best NSS Programme Officer” award for the year 2018-19 by the State Youth Empowerment and Sports Department, National Service Scheme Cell, in recognition of the meritorious services rendered to the society.
The NSS unit of the college too received the “Best NSS Unit” state award for the year 2018-19. Principal Dr Anasuya Rai received the award from the Minister of Youth Empowerment and Sports Dr K.C. Narayana Gowda at an award function held at the Yavanika Auditorium in Bengaluru, recently.
Minister for Higher Education, IT-BT Dr Ashwath Narayan C N, Additional Chief Secretary Dr Shalini Rajneesh, State NSS officer Sri PrathapLingaiahand others were present among others on the occasion.
