Mangaluru: The National Service Scheme Unit-1, Yenepoya Dental College Organized the annual Award Distribution Ceremony for the 2017 BDS Batch of NSS Volunteers. The Event was organised at the 5th-floor auditorium Yenepoya Dental College. The Program started with an invocation by Shaheen NSS Volunteer and the Welcome address was given by Zeba, NSS Volunteer, followed by the annual report reading by Fathimath Ishana, NSS Volunteer. The Chief Guest for the program, Geetha Kulkarni addressed all the volunteers, introduced various voluntary organizations and also stressed on student police cadet which is existing in Karnataka. Also stressed the importance of helping each other. She also praised the amount of work done by the unit.
Dr Sham S.Bhat Dean Yenepoya Dental College was the guest of honour. The event witnessed the best NSS Volunteer award being away to the students and certificate completion to the batch of 2017 volunteers. The presidential address was given by Dr Laxmikanth Chatra Principal, Yenepoya Dental College who stressed the role of the NCC and NSS in his time and stressed that students should continue the social activity even after they pass out from the professional courses. Aysha Sheen, NSS Volunteer, Yenepoya Dental College gave a vote of thanks.
