Mangaluru: Yenepoya Nursing College, a constituent college of Yenepoya (Deemed to be) University, organized a National e-Conference in collaboration with Nursing Research Society of India (NRSI) on 26th& 27th November 2021, on the theme “Strengthening Nursing Scholarship through Publications”. The conference was inaugurated at Indoor Auditorium, Yenepoya (Deemed to be) University, Mangaluru.
Chief guest Dr Bontha V Babu, Scientist G(Director Grade) and Head of Socio-Behavioral and Health Systems Research, ICMR, in his address said that in spite of multiple barriers, nursing research is progressing well in India. DrAssuma Beevi, Vice President NRSI, congratulated the team for organizing the event and highlighted the importance of nursing research and publication.
Dr Anil Sharma, Secretary of NRSI, in his speech stressed the role of mentors in shaping the publications. Dr Vijayakumar M, Vice-Chancellor Yenepoya (Deemed to be) University, released the conference souvenir and delivered the presidential address. He said that faculty must cultivate the habit of publishing the research in quality journals which not only promotes professional growth but also improves the institution’s national and international ranking and accreditation.
Dr Leena K C, Principal, Yenepoya Nursing College welcomed the gathering and Dr Priya Reshma Aranha, Organising Secretary delivered the vote of thanks. Sharin Neetal Dsouza compered the program. Dr B Shreepathi Rao, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Deans, Centre heads and Faculty of constituent colleges of Yenepoya were present at the venue. Around 350 participants from across 26 states of the country and abroad participated in the conference through online mode.
