YRC, Yenepoya, Lions Club Kavoor hold Swaccha Sagar program

Mangaluru: Youth Red Cross, Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) in collaboration with Lions Club Kavoor organized Swaccha Sagar program at Tannir Bhavi Beach, Mangalore on Sept 24 at 7 a.m. Initially Ashwin Kumar M, Secretary Lions club Kavoor briefed on the program and the program was inaugurated by Hemalatha Raghu Salian, Mangalore City Corporation Health Committee President.

It was followed by the beach cleaning by YRC volunteers of Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) of Medical, Dental, Nursing, Ayurveda and Homeopathic college and Lions members of Kavoor. Five groups of YRC volunteers made Creative Sand art depicting the theme of Swaccha Sagar.

Later a flash mob was presented on the theme Swacha Sagar to create awareness among the public. Nithyashree B V, Nodal Officer, YRC compared the program.

The Program officers of YRC units, Dr Harinarayanan, Dr Arundeep, Dr Syyed, Dr Tariq, Lions President Victor Moras, Members Nithyananda Shetty, Swaroopa Shetty were present. Around 50 YRC volunteers and public were benefitted by the program and there was positive feedback on the program.
