Mangalore: 25 Years of St Theresa’s school! What a tremendous milestone! It stands tall and grand with the legacy it has created- A School that strives for excellence and a reflection to move forward.

St Theresa’s School Bendur, Mangalore appreciates the past, celebrates the present and more importantly looks forward enthusiastically to the future as we celebrate our Silver Jubilee.

Prayer must be at the heart of our anniversary celebration. To recognize the graces that we have received from the Almighty over the years, a Eucharistic mass was con-celebrated by Rev Fr Maxim Noronha- Vicar General, Diocese of Mangalore at St. Sebastian Church, Mangalore.

The celebrities were escorted to St. Sebastian Platinum Jubilee Hall, Bendur by the Guard of honour led by students. The celebration was followed by a cultural programme at 11 a.m. The hall was beautifully decorated with flowers, balloons and lights.

The ceremony for the cultural show was graced by the President  Sr. Rose Celine – Superior General of Bethany congregation and the President of the Bethany Educational Society; Chief guest –  Dr P Subramanya Yadapaditya- Vice-Chancellor Mangalore university; Sr.Lillis B.S -The Vice President of Bethany Congregation; Sr. Mariette B.S – Secretary of Bethany Educational Society and the Correspondent of St. Theresa’s School; Fr Vincent Monteiro-Parish Priest of St Sebastian’s Church; Marjorie Texeira, The Ex PTA President; Charleen Rebimbus- Vice President of PTA;  Sameer Moidu, the Educationist: Sr Lourdes B.S -The Principal of the School. 

“When darkness comes let us not condemn the dark but light a lamp to illuminate”. The school celebrated 25 years with the lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries. 

A prayer song,” Hear my Cry” was sung by the school choir invoking graces and blessings received by the Almighty.

All the luminaries were accorded welcome by the Principal, Sr. Lourdes B.S. The students extended their heartfelt welcome by a perfect blend of synchronized movements.

The school choir enthralled the audience with their melodious notes by singing the Jubilee song.

The Silver Jubilee Souvenir was released by Sr Rose Celine. A copy of each was distributed to the dignitaries.

The 25th anniversary was a memorable one wherein Theresians both past and present, Bethany Sisters, parents and well-wishers gathered to celebrate the School Jubilee.

The speaker Sr. Rose Celine highlighted the history of St Theresa’s School.  She congratulated the council of management, staff members, Parents & Students who have made the institution proud.  She insisted in making this world a better place to live in.                         

The Chief Guest Dr P Subrahmanya Yadapadithya was all praise for the programme. He congratulated the school authorities, teachers and students for their commendable performance.

Fr Vincent Monteiro showered blessings on the institutions and all those who are instrumental in making the institutions reach greater altitudes. 

Marjorie Taxeira encouraged students to make the best use of the education they receive at St Theresa’s School which is well known for instilling values of self-reliance, independence, honesty and justice.

The cultural Bonanza was a visual delight for the audience which was unveiled with the thanksgiving dance for the milestones we crossed. It was a scintillating dance performance with elegant speakers. 

The Grand Finale portrayed grace and was indeed a colourful harmonic combination that captured the searing fire and powerful energy of the dancers. It enchanted the audience with its colourfulness and simplicity.

The venue reverberated with thunderous applause. Gleaming faces exchanged appreciative nods as the audience witnessed the perfection and extravaganza of the show.

We are a Theresian family who stays united and works together harmoniously. The Silver Jubilee was celebrated in an awe-inspiring manner which was meticulously planned by the dedicated, passionate and compassionate team of both administrative, teaching and non-teaching faculty.
