Mangalore: The closing ceremony of Annual Feast of St Lawrence Church, Bondel was celebrated with grandeur and devotion on Wednesday August 10, 2022. Msgr Maxim Noronha, Vicar General, Mangalore Diocese was the main celebrant. The Theme of the Feast “Let our families be generous towards God and by sacrificing ourselves let us live for others.
Msgr Maxim Noronha, presided over the Holy Eucharistic celebration he urged the faithful to derive inspiration from St Lawrence who sacrificed his life for the cause of Jesus and mankind, to be generous in giving and committing our lives to God’s will, and reminded by the examples shown by St. Lawrence, let us all therefore discern how we can be better disciples of the Lord. Much like the widow who gave two coins in the temple treasury, the boy gave all that was in his possession. The act was likely a painful one, maybe not physically painful, but mentally and, possibly, emotionally. That is how sacrifice works. Jesus Became Poor In Order To Make Us Rich.
