Udupi: The Beary Nikah Helpline team held an informative session on Islamic marriage here at a private hotel in Padubidri on January 10. 
The team has been helping the society since last six months with an aim to build a dowry-free society especially among their community. Several leaders of various Muslim associations and members of Beary Nikah Helpline team were present.
The programme was presided over by Helpline Secretary Abdul Majid Ustad who also inaugurated the programme. Samir Nellyady welcomed the guests. Aftab Bunder spoke about the aims and works of the Helpline.
Padubidri wing Helpline Secretary M H A Kalandar Razwi Ustad spoke on the need for dowry-free marriages and future plans of the helpline. An open discussion was held and several important decisions were taken.
Ismail Kana delivered the vote of thanks.
