Mangaluru: Das Kudla events along with NewsKarnataka.com and NewsKannada.com organised an event to felicitate the 50-plus enthusiastic budding singers who performed for the ‘Children’s Day Swarasangama’ was held at Mango Berry’s Ice Cream Parlour, Navbharat Circle on November 20. The Children’s Day Swarasangama began with a prayer and a general introduction and a welcome by Das Kudla Events promoter Sadashiva Das Kudla followed by lighting the lamp.
Chief Guest and Inaugurator Dr Annaya Kulal of Puttanna Kulal Foundation in his inaugural address appreciated the organisers for giving a stage to young talent. “Music is the language of the universe and is understood by everyone. Music therapy is a trendy topic in the health sector. During the pandemic, all understood the need of utilising God-given talent and living with them. “
Prathiba Kulai, Ex Corporator and Social Activist in her message congratulated the children for participating in the programme and also appreciated the parents for their encouragement. Renowned playback singer Rameshchandra in his message to the audience said “Singing contest demands ultimate talent whereas events like this will bring out the real talent to foray. Encourage your children more into such events”. On the occasion, the children were awarded certificates and prizes.
The children and elders performed Sangeetha Sudhe (singing performance). Canute J. Pinto, Executive Director, Spearhead Media Group thanked all for their support for the event and invited the audience to use NK’s studio facilities. Mohan Nanthoor, President, of Coastal Singers Association, Mohammad Hejamady, promoter of Mango Berry’s, Businessman Ashok Kumar Ujjodi, Ajesh Charmady and others were present.
