Mangaluru: “Garodi is a holy place and the 150th anniversary celebration being held in such a place with the blessings of God with utmost grandeur and success, said Former Union Minister B. Janardhana Poojary.
He was speaking after the inaugurating the office of 150th anniversary celebrations of Brahma Baidarkala Garodi.
Speaking on the occassion, MLA B. Vedavyas Kamath said, “In the 150th year of the Garodi, it is our privilege to have the opportunity to serve here. All of us will participate with unity and make this religious festival a success, he added.
“In Tulunadu, worship is being done through a temple-deity-shrine established by the elders, which is a great contribution to Hindutva. The heritage, customs and culture of our land need to become more and more practiceable for the next generation. Janardhana Poojary, and Chittaranjan K. has been an inspiration to all of us and has allowed us to participate in religious celebrations,” he said.
Garodi President Chittaranjan K. presided over the inaugrual function.
“We are the one who believe that nothing can be complete without the grace of God. For the successful conduct of the 150th anniversary of Garodi, the devotees cooperation is needed. On March 3, horakanaike, March 4 ganayaga, March 5 Kalashabhisheka, March 6 1008 Kalashabhisheka and on March 7 Nagabrahmamandalotsav will be held, added Chittaranjan K.
Kudroli Sri Gokarnanatha Temple Vice-President Urmila Ramesh, Convener of the 150th Sambhrama Samiti of Garodi Mohan Ujjodi, Kankanady Mahalingeshwara Temple Vice President A. Krishnamurthy, Maroli Suryanarayana Temple Development Committee Honorary President K. P. Shetty, Garodi Moktesara Damodar Nisarga, Divaraj, Dinesh Anchan, Vittal, J. Kishore Kumar, A. Vamana Alape, and J. Vijay, were present.
