ICYM Bantwal unit organised public Anti-Rabies Camp

Bantwala: On account of National Dog Day, public Anti-rabies vaccination camp was conducted by the youth of Infant Jesus Church, Bantwal on 26 August 2018. This programme was conducted in collaboration with Veterinary Hospital, Bantwal. Three veterinary inspectors were present for this event.

The programme was inaugurated in the presence of the Parish Priest Fr Maxim Noronha, Assistant Parish Priest Fr Ashwin Crasta, Parish Vice President Sandeep Menezes, Secretary Richard D’Souza by vaccinating the pet dogs at the church.

The members were divided into three teams and assigned various locations across Bantwal city led by Sandeep, James and Avinash. ICYM volunteers who took part in this event are Dale, Jeston, Annet, Aniketh, Shalvin, Elvin, Melisha, Denzil, Jemston, Riyana, Vinitha Royston, Chrisel, Felita.

Around 170 dogs were vaccinated in this camp. The ICYM Bantwal has been conducting this event successfully since 13 years and there has been an increase in the of 27% vaccines given this year compared to the last year.
