ICYM Madanthyar Unit organises ‘Voviyo – 2018’

Madanthyar: The Madanthyar unit of the ICYM organised ‘Voviyo – 2018’, a training programme on Voviyo on Sunday, December 2, at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church Hall, Madanthyar for the parishioners.

The programme was inaugurated by the lighting of the lamp. Rev. Fr Basil Vas then delivered a message on spreading the Konkani language and culture amongst the present generation.

Ronson Veigas welcomed the guests and the gathering. Lavita Fernandes – Secretary, ICYM Madanthyar Unit proposed the Vote of thanks. Ashwini Moras – Member, ICYM Madanthyar Unit compered the programme.

A total of 150 parishioners were present for the programme.

Rev Fr Basil Vas – Parish Priest, Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Madanthyar presided over the inaugural programme along with Rev. Fr Alwyn Dsouza – Assistant Parish Priest, Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Madanthyar. The members of “Konkani Matov Mangalore” – James Dsouza and Reena Dsouza were the guests of the programme. Leo Rodrigues – Secretary, Madanthyar parish pastoral council, Ronson Veigas – President, ICYM Madanthyar Unit were the dignitaries present on the dais.
