ICYM Shirthady Unit celebrates ‘Yuva Milan’

Mangaluru: Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM), Shirthady Unit, Moodabidri of the Dakshina Kannada District organised ‘Yuva Milan’ at Holy Angels School Hall on Sunday July 31.

The dignitaries lighted the lamp and inaugurated the programme. Parish Priest Fr. Herold Mascarenhas presided over the event. In his presidential speech, Fr. Herold appreciated the hardwork of youth in organising the event. He also made a note of the involvement of youth in the parish activities.

ICYM, Mangalore Diocese Immediate Past President Jaison Crast and ICYM, Mangalore Diocese Past Served Secretary Veena Vaz were the resource persons of the day.

Resource Persons Jaison Crasta and Veena Vaz spoke about the need of ICYM organisation at various levels and highlighted the youth and their services in the society. They also discussed the benefits gained by youths by involving themselves in various activities to showcase their talent and leadership through ICYM. They also conducted several group activities, games, icebreakers and entertained the youth.

Parish Priest Herold Mascarenhas along with Fr. Nelson Pinto, Parish Vice-President Herald D’Silva, Secretary Jacintha Rodrigues, ICYM Mangalore Diocese VP Winston Sequeira, Moodabidri Deanery President Mithesh D’Souza, Deanery Lady VP Rolita, Deanery Secretary Joyston, ICYM Shirthady Unit Animator Chinthan Lobo and others were present at the programme.

The programme concluded with lunch and had active participation of as many as 50 youth.
