Mangaluru: Siri stall, exhibition inaugurated in Dharmasthala

Mangaluru: A sales outlet of Siri Gramodyoga Samsthe and the 43rd state-level exhibition was inaugurated at Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala on the opening day of the Lakshdeepotsava Mahotsava held at Mangalaparva of Karthika month on Saturday November 19 near Amrita Mahotsava Hall in Dharmasthala of Dakshina Kannada District.

Dharmadhikari and Rajya Sabha Member Dr. Veerendra Heggade and his granddaughter Manya lit the lamp and fulfilled the inauguration. Belthangady MLA Harish Poonja inaugurated the exhibition.

The exhibition was inaugurated in tulunadu style by lighting a cloth wrapped lamp (Kolthuri in Tulu) on a piece of bamboo and opening of sarangolu (Tadame in Tulu) made of bamboo.

The exhibition is open from 9 am. to 10 pm. every day till November 24 and has free entry.

There are entertainment programmes every evening.

On this occasion, Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari and Rajya Sabha Member Dr. D Veerendra Heggade, who was present on the occasion, said that every year during Lakshdeepotsava, an exhibition stalls are put up and for the last two years, due to Corona people did not get this privilege. There will be entertainment and also with this a huge amount of information and technology. In particular, information on the trials and conversions of the Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Gramabhivruddhi Project is given. There are many outlets including Bank, Siri store, RUDSETI store, store of various departments and many more that you can enjoy in the evening. As a family, come and celebrate Lakshadeepotsava, he said.

“Siri has set up a systematic market across the State. Siri started for the self-reliant life of women also has products made from women themselves. Buy these products and encourage them. Shops have already been set up across the State. A permanent new stall has been opened in Dharmasthala for the convenience of devotees coming here,” he added.

Siri’s two permanent outlets are in Mangaluru, 2 in Dharmasthala, 1 in Hassan, 1 in Bengaluru, 1 in Dharawad and 1 is in Parika, Udupi.

Heggade’s granddaughter Manya, SDA Educational Institutions Secretary Dr. Satish Chandra, Dharmasthala Rural Development Project Executive Director Dr. L. H. Manjunath, Chief Executive Officer Anil Kumar, Dharmasthala Siri Grama Udyog Organisation Managing Director K. N. Janardhan, exhibition stalls supervisor Yathish Balanja, Heggade’s Private Secretary A. V. Shetty, SDM Hospital Administrator Janardhan, Janajagruti Vedike State Secretary Vivek Vincent Pais, SDM Educational Institutions Chief Executive Officer Harish, Lions Club President Dr. Deviprasad Bolma, BJP Mandal President Jayant Kotian, Secretary Prashanth, Ratnaraja Hegde and others were present.
