MLA Kamath inaugurates Hindu burial ground construction

Mangaluru: MLA D. Vedavyas Kamath inaugurated the construction of a retaining wall at Kadri Hindu Burial Ground in Kadri Ward of Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) at a cost of Rs 1 Crore.

The retaining wall is being constructed to protect the Sri Malaraya Daivasthana at the top of the cremation ground, which is in danger of collapsing. After the completion of the work, the land of Malaraya Daivasthana will be secured and the burial ground will also be safe.

Mayor Jayananda Anchan, Deputy Mayor Poornima, Standing Committee President Shakila Kava, Kishore Kottari, Local Corporator Kadri Manohar Shetty, Leaders A. J. Shetty, H. K. Purushothama, Rajesh, Manohar Suvarna, Ravindranath Shetty, Taranath Shetty, Dinesh Devadiga, Niranjan Salian, Venkatesh, Suresh Devadiga Kambla, Vasanth J. Poojary, Nagesh Kadri, Godwin, Vasanth, Mahesh Pandya, Hemachandra, Raghavendra, Bharath, Naresh Rao, Pradeep Acharya, Harish Rao, Ravi Keerthi, Sudarshan, Anil Kadri, Sachin Kadri, Sahana Kadri, Jagadish Kadri, Avinash Rai, Kushal Nath Shetty, Nathu Jogi and others were present.
