Mangaluru: Nazareth Central School celebrated International Yoga Day on 21 June 2022, for all classes with much fervour and enthusiasm. The special assembly and celebration depicted the innumerable benefits of Yoga.
Since the theme for the year is ‘Yoga for Humanity, all the Nazareth fraternity also joined the session with the same excitement and joy.
This special occasion was inaugurated by the lighting of the lamp by School Principal Rev Sr. Marceline D’Souza, School academic coordinator Precilla Veigas, programme Coordinator Veena Rao along with School Head Boy and Head Girl.
The excitement of the children of Grade 1 to 10 was palpable in the School Auditorium as they geared up to celebrate the International Day of Yoga 2022, it was nevertheless exciting because of its novelty.
The innumerable benefits of practising Yoga were explained to all the participants by three students of our school, they are Devangana Shaji, Alden Savio Monteiro and Khushi M respectively. Students displayed their creative side by selecting the theme ‘international Day of Yoga’ on the colourful stage. The boundless peace of doing the Asanas was amply visible right from the faces of the students. The programme was meticulously compered by Deepa D.
Let us all join together to mark this day by celebrating from home not only today but every day.
