Bengaluru: The Press Relation Council of India (PRCI) recently celebrated its 18th Foundation Day in India, along with other chapters spread throughout the country. The Bengaluru Chapter of PRCI held the event at Hotel Renaissance at RC road here.
Speaking to mediapersons Dr. C. Somashekara, (Retd.IAS) and Chairman of Karnataka Border Area Development Board said that we live in VUCA (volatile, uncertain, complex, ambiguous) times and need our lights lamping the way for better PR people to develop in building bettering relationships.
Fitness expert, youth icon and Socio-environment activist Wanitha Ashok said that, “All people grow old as they age while an organisation seasons like wine as it ages. This 18-year-old young adolescent is now poised to leave parental home and venture out into the world in order to find its footing as a professional PR nurturing organisation, as young leaders take the chairs that the Founders developed over gruesome years to find what it takes to facilitate communication for a better world.”
During the Foundation Day event, Chapter members honoured the PRCI founders and released the PRCI house magazine, Chanakya and Kautilya magazine, in its second edition of the year.
PD Hindwan conferred with ‘Life Time Achievement Award’
Former Chief of Corporate Communication of NTPC P. D. Hindwan was felicitated with ‘Life Time Achievement Award’ by Media Federation of India in their annual award function 16th Media Excellence Award organised on April 2 at New Delhi.
He received the award for his outstanding contributions in the field of Corporate Communications to the most premier Maharatna Company NTPC.
