Mangaluru: The widening and concretisation works of Mangaluru Kottara Kalbavi Road in Derebail West 25th Ward have been completed and inaugurated on Friday March 24.
Kalbavi residents felicitated the MLA on the occasion.
Speaking on the occassion MLA Vedavyas Kamath, who was felicitated, said that the locals have donated land for the road and cooperated with the development of the road. There is no politics in this matter. I am giving grant irrespective Of caste and creed, he added.
Uday Kumar Shetty, owner of Hritik Constructions, a road contractor, was felicitated for providing quality work.
Senior BJP leader Rajagopal Rai said that if the road widening has to take place, the locals had to give up their land and that is because the MLA had so delicately persuaded them to give up the land on their own and the generosity of the gentlemen who gave up their land for road widening without any expectations will always be remembered.
