Mangaluru: A documentary on language scholar Prof. Kodi Kushalappa Gowda, produced by Karnataka Arebhasha Samskruti and Sahitya Academy and directed by Theatre Director Jeevanram Sullia, was released at Rangamane in Halegate, Sullia on Wednesday October 12.
Jeevanram Sullia participated as the guest of honour at the event.
The 45-minute-long documentary features Prof. Kodi’s childhood, writing and achievements.
Kannada Scholar and Kannada University Hampi Former Vice-Chancellor Dr. B. A. Viveka Rai, elderly Scholar Amrita Someshwara, Dr. Taltaje Vasanthakumar who knew Kodi closely, depicted his entire life, and has the heartfelt words of his pupils Dr. Srikrishna Bhat, Dr. Subramanya Bhat, Dr. Purushothama Bilimale, Dr. Harikrishna Bhat Bharanya, Dr. Narendra Rai Derla, and Dr. A. Subbanna Rai.
The cinematography of the documentary was handled by Jeevanram Sullia along with Spearhead Media Group Former Group Editor and Spearhead Academy Principal Srinivasa Pejathaya, Zeeshan Zeetography, Swanima Jinnappa America and Param Studio, Sullia.
