Mangaluru: Lions club Mangalore, Leo club Mangalore, St. Aloysius ITI, in association with JCI Mangalore Lalbagh, and Kamath Optical organised a free eye check-up camp at St. Aloysius ITI college premises on April 8th, 2022.
Shilpa Ghorpade was the chief guest and inaugurator, President of the programme, Rev Fr John D’Souza SJ, Director of St. Aloysius ITI, Guest of honour, Lion Satish Rai, President of Lions club Mangalore, Lion Govardhan Shetty District Chief coordinator for International President, Lion Richard Lobo, Service coordinator, Praveen Udupa, President of JCI Mangalore, Ravindra Kamath, Proprietor Kamath Optical, Leo Denzil Machado President Leo club Mangalore St. Aloysius ITI were present on dais.
Prayer was led by the members of the Leo club. A lamp was lit by the dignitaries marking the inauguration of the Camp.
The chief guest Shilpa Ghorpade addressed the gathering saying “people should have idols in life but they must create their own image and never be a shadow of others”.
Lion Satish Rai, President of Lions club Mangalore conveyed his best wishes for the noble act done by the Leo members.
Fr John D’Souza SJ Director of St. Aloysius ITI conveyed his message by saying ” You are the light of the world”.
Praveen Udupa conveyed his message of “Believe in vision and visionary”. Lion Govardhan Shetty, District chief coordinator of International President conveyed his best wishes and his support in future programmes.
Leo Vinod compered the programme, Leo Rohith welcomed the gathering and Leo Staron proposed the vote of thanks.
