Mangaluru: The investiture ceremony of Amrita Vidyalayam School for the academic year 2022-23 was held on Monday June 27 at Amriteshwati Hall, Mangaluru.
The chief guest Dr G G Laxman Prabhu, professor and head of Urology, KMC, Mangaluru, inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp, in his address, he spoke about his childhood memories and congratulated the young leaders and stressed Quality, Teamwork, Execution with passion and the humane touch. He shared the “Leadership Mantra” with the students. The mantra is “A Good leader takes help from others. He makes sure that Ego doesn’t become a barrier between him and his team members” He added that it was a pleasure to see a miniature of the democratic system represented in the school which gave students hands-on experience of how the parliament functions.
The Campus Director, Yathish Baikampady, also addressed the gathering with his motivational speech. The principal, Dr Arathy Shetty, administered the oath to the new office bearers wherein the newly elected leaders pledged to uphold the dignity and honour of the school with their hard work, dedication and perseverance.
Master Kavan, Head Boy of Amrita Vidyalayam, Mangaluru, proposed a vote of thanks. The programme was followed by a various cultural programmes. The function concluded with the Shanti Mantra.
