Mumbai: Smiling faces greeted one another as the Senior Citizens of St. Vincent Pallotti Church Marol, Mumbai, were able to catch up with one another for the first time since March 2020. Nov. 12, 2022, was a memorable day for the 77 Charming Hearts, who enjoyed a day picnic organized by the Managing Committee of the Senior Citizens at “Kini Resort Manori”.
The sky was clear and the cool breeze tickled, as we started our journey to reach the destination as early as possible. On arrival at the Resort, our group was welcomed by the employees, who then volunteered to serve us authentic breakfast.
The excitement level was never down, it was then amazing to spend leisure time enjoying nature, swimming in the emerald water, playing cards etc.
The fun in the pool & other adventure games by midday led to an empty stomach which was making a lot of funny noise. The aroma of the delicious food which was coming from the food zone had aced our pace towards the variety of East Indian meals.
No sooner after the meal, we tapped the talents of our Senior Citizens with a few games, followed by a game of Housie. As the evening was setting in, we had our tea and packed our bags for our return. The Resort location was attractive, Seniors had a wonderful day away from the hustle and bustle of the City. It helped us all to get recharged and refreshed.
It was a memorable event indeed, for each and every one of us.
