Tumkur University to introduce NEP model in PG programme

Tumkur: As per the NEP act of 2020, Tumkur University has decided to initiate a four year PG programme from the current academic year.

The University press released stated that a multidisciplinary value-based system of education aims at preparing the new generation for the competitive world.

A PG programme that works on the proposed NEP model will be lead under the potential leadership of Colonel Prof. Y.S Siddegowda Vice Chancellor of Tumkur University.

Based on the NEP PG programme, a state-level expert team is working on the syllabus structure. Parallelly, the Research Committee of Tumkur University is also asked to actively work on syllabus framing.

All College principals, teaching and non-teaching staffs under Tumkur University is been provided with various levels of training along with resources being persons being sent to centres in order to train the faculties.

University also made a video on the new education model in order to educate Teachers, Students and Parents on the system of education.
