Belthangady: ICYM Belthangady unit organized a “Virtual Teachers Day” celebration for all the teachers of Belthangady parish on 5th September 2021 at 10:30 am through the google meet platform. ICYM members began the celebration by seeking God’s blessings through a prayer song. Viyanni Dsouza, the president of ICYM welcomed the gathering. Fr Clifford Pinto, the Principal of English medium school depicted about the programme.
Jovita gave a brief introduced the resource person to the audience. Fr Alwyn Serrao, Principal of St. Antony’s college Naravi, the resource person of the day shared the responsibility and role of teachers. He also stressed about challenges of the National Educational Police. Aloysius Lobo, the Vice president and Pauline Rego the secretary of Parish pastoral council addressed the gathering and stressed on the importance of teacher’s day. Wishing songs and dances were presented by the youth. Lucky Games were conducted for the teachers.
On behalf of all the teachers, Theophila Dsouza shared her views about the Virtual Teachers Day programme. Rev. Fr Joseph Cardoza, the parish priest delivered the presidential address. Larin, the secretary of ICYM delivered the vote of thanks. Glen Monis compered the programme. 60 teachers from our parish attended the celebration.
