Mangaluru: Dhee Shakti Jnana Yoga Dhyana camp was inaugurated at Siri Chavadi of Tulu Bhavana, Urwa here on Friday September 24. The camp is being jointly organised by Rotary Club, Mangaluru Central, and International Bunts’ Welfare Association Trust in association with Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy. The camp will be held till October 3.
The camp was inaugurated jointly by Rotary District Governor Rtn. Ravindra Bhat and International Bunts’ Welfare Trust President Sadanand Shetty.
Speaking on the occasion, Bhat said, “I am fortunate to have gotten an opportunity to inaugurate Yoga camp.” It is said that the person who practices Yoga does not suffer from illness with increase of mental and physical endurance, he said and added that it is important that awareness is created among youth on the same.
Addressing the gathering, Shetty expressed immense pleasure to be part of the programme and called upon people to make good use of the camp that will be conducted for about a week.
Dayanand Kathalsaar,Tulu Sahitya Academy President said that our country is growing from strength to strength and is emerging as world leader. The Yoga, Dhyana and Pranayama from our culture is now being followed by everyone in the world. However, it is also important to introspect what have we been doing to preserve this rich culture, he added.
Rotary Club Central President Ramashesha Shetty, Assistant Governor Raghavendra Rao, Rotary Former Governor Dr. Devdas Rai, International Bunts’ Welfare Trust Women Wing President Jayalakshmi Shetty, Youth Wing President Devicharan Shetty. Tulu Academy Member Shashidhar Shetty Nitte and others were present.
