Mangaluru: Rotary Club of Vijayanagar Mysore team represented by Rtn. H.M. Harish bagged the prestigious Rotary Quiz Trophy. The Rotary Club Mangalore City, represented by Rtn. Dr. Ranjan Rao and Rtn. Sumit Rao was declared runners up and Rotary Club of Derlakatte team, represented by Rtn. Dr Ananthan and Rtn. Vikramdutta secured third place.
Rotary Club of Mangaluru central as a part of the Rotary movement awareness campaign conducted their 16th Annual “Dist. Level Inter-Club Rotary Quiz” contest on 27.01.2022 at Kanara Club, Mangaluru. The Quiz was based exclusively on Rotary related affairs, matters and issues.
Mysore City-based Eminent Educationist and Rotary past Dist. Governor Rtn. Prof. Joseph Mathew graced the occasion as Chief Guest, in is address he lauded the Energy and Enthusiasm of Dr Devdas Rai for conducting this quiz for the past 15 years and his invaluable contributions to the Rotary Movement and congratulated him on his achievements. Later he awarded the Rotary Glittering Trophy, Certificates and Cash prizes of R.3,000 to the Winners and Runners up and congratulated them on their unique achievements.
13 Teams from Mangaluru, Bykampady, Deralaktte, Puttur, Mysore, Bantwal, participated in this contest. Rtn. Dr Devdas Rai was the Quiz Master and officiated the closely contested quiz. Asst. Governor Zone-2 Rtn. Raghavendra was the guest of honour he released the weekly club news bulletin “Centor”. Club President Rtn. Ramashesha Shetty presided over the function. Secretary Rtn. Jaganath Shetty presented the monthly report. Rtn. Rajugopal Rai proposed the vote of thanks.
