The big winners of NK’s Carol Contest to be announced soon

Mangaluru: The Christmas Carol Video Contest (Season 3, 2022), organised by NewsKarnataka.com and NewsKannada.com began its world telecast from Thursday December 15 and went on till December 22 with 38 teams in fray for the eight coveted prizes. And yes, the evening of Friday December 23 7.30 pm IST is the most-awaited time as the big winners will be announced, which is a reward in itself not only for their wonderful talent, but also for spreading joie-de-vivre.

The Aloysian Symphonies, Concodia, Sr. Maria Reetha & Team, and Chalice of Praise teams participated on the first day, while The Vazhapully, Navidad, Jayo Balla and Middle East Melodies teams participated on the second day. The third and fourth day saw participation of The Ladyhill Jingles, Victoria Angels, Snehith Vamanjoor and Lenchanters as well as The Christa Prabhalaya, The Josphite Choir, Twinkle Stars and Ladyhill Petals, respectively.

While Glorium, Silver Bells, Rosario Youth Movement and Dhwani Madhurya participate on the fifth day, Infant Jesus Choir Group, Team Nebula, Drasper Studio, Rolisha & Team and St Bernads Church-Secunderbad participated on the sixth day. The seventh and eighth day saw No’Ktiram, The Chosen one, Mel’DUO, Lourdes Central School, Mogachi Lahran and Silver Bells Rose Merin Derlakatte as well as Fr. Walter Albuequrque Memorial Choir, Navathare Gayana Vrundha, Jnana Jyothi Voices, Mistletoe Warriors, Yule, Fr. Agnel School Greater Noida UP and St Michael’s English Medium Madikeri, respectively.

The Jury for Season 3 of the Video Contest comprises Jeevan Lobo, Music Teacher, Abu Dhabi, Wilfred Fernandes, Singer, Composer and Musician, Abu Dhabi and Arun Carlo, Musician, Composer and Singer, Dubai.

The anchor for the event were CA Valerian Dalmaida, Mentor and Advisor Spearhead Media on day one, day three, day five, day seven and day eight, Brian Fernandes, Distinguished Toastmaster on day two as well as day six and Roshan Honest Raj, Vice Principal, Spearhead Academy on day four.

Several Carol singing enthusiasts registered for the contest from Mangalore City, Dakshina Kannada Rural, Bengaluru City and Rural, Mumbai, and Bidar. In all 38 entries were part of the contest. The videos will be hosted on NewsKarnataka’s YouTube. It will also be featured on both Newskarnataka.com and Newskannada.com.

The Video Contest has attractive Prizes! The Winners take home the first prize of INR 15,000, the Runners-up INR 10,000, and those placed third INR 5,000. The five finalists will be awarded a consolation prize of INR 1,000 each.

The event is powered by Sapling Multi Ventures Pvt. Ltd. and co-powered by Lourdes Central School, Bejai, Mangaluru. These apart, the event was ably supported by several distinguished sponsors.
