Sullia: With the taps going dry over the last one week, the raged residents of Murkethi in Peruvaje GP limits of Sullia taluk staged protest outside the GP office keeping their empty pots on display, on Monday, April 25.
Warning the GP of intense protest if the GP fails to tackle the situation, the angry residents shouted out slogans against the GP.

GP President Anasuya, who arrived at the spot said that the pumps have gone kaput and getting funds for repair has been a difficult task.

But, the residents said that how the GP manages to set right the pump and provide water is left up to the GP.

After a minor altercation, the GP officials and elected representatives promised to provide water on Tuesday, April 26.

The protest was withdrawn later.
