Every nursery garden’s sole purpose is to provide healthy plants or saplings to gardens and ensure that each customer leaves the place fully satisfied. Million Trees, a new nursery and gardening centre in Bantwal, is establishing itself as a place of attraction for plant lovers. The store provides 100 percent organic red soil mix and coco peat along with other planting essentials.

Ashok Kumar K, managing partner of Million trees told News Karnataka that, “Plantations have always caught my attention since I was a child. Being in close vicinity with nature makes me joyful and it is great to be able to work in a natural environment. It is necessary to protect our environment, which is always trying to protect us. So that’s how this concept of business was developed along with two of my childhood friends Musthaf Shabeer and Zakeer and Marcel Mascarenhas who is the investing partner of this project.”

Ashok is of the opinion that people are interested in plantation, but they are unaware about what to do next. “For example, if I offer someone a plant, they may not properly care for it or wonder where to buy the necessary supplies, such as pots and fertilisers. As a result, we decided to bring everything under one roof so that the customers could get everything from our store rather than searching for it elsewhere. In addition, we intend to start a planting campaign in and around the Dakshina Kannada district.  We’re still working on the complete setup,” he added.

The nursery sells 100 percent organic, ready-to-use potting and planting red soil, as well as coco peat mix, which is beneficial to plant growth. Seeds, agricultural plants, medicinal plants, flower plants, fruit plants, are also made available. Other items sold by Million Trees include ceramic pots, terracotta, plastic, gift pots, organic fertilisers, and gardening tools.

“If a customer visits our nursery, they will not get any trouble in finding the essential supplies needed for the plantation. We give them our assistance,” said Ashok.
