Bhatkala: A fishing boat named Sai Sagar from Malpe sank near Tenginagundi port after hitting a stone rock while attempting to tow a stranded vessel. The incident occurred when the Sai Sagar was assisting another fishing boat from the same port that had become entangled in a net and was unable to move.
Despite the crew’s efforts to rescue the stranded boat, the Sai Sagar struck a submerged rock, causing significant damage and leading to its sinking. Fortunately, all eight fishermen aboard the Sai Sagar were safely rescued by local residents.
