Five Transgender Individuals Arrested for Public Assault in Vijayapura

The Vijayapura city police have arrested five transgender individuals in connection with a shocking public assault. The accused are charged with stripping a young woman and throwing chili powder on her private parts in front of Lalit Mahal Hotel on June 21. The incident, which was captured on video and went viral on social media, prompted immediate action from law enforcement.

Superintendent of Police Rishikesh Sonavane confirmed that all the arrested individuals are residents of Pune and had been visiting Vijayapura when the attack occurred. The Gol Gumbaz police registered a case as soon as they became aware of the video, leading to the swift arrest of the suspects within 24 hours.
