Superintendent of Police Rishikesh Sonavane confirmed that all the arrested individuals are residents of Pune and had been visiting Vijayapura when the attack occurred. The Gol Gumbaz police registered a case as soon as they became aware of the video, leading to the swift arrest of the suspects within 24 hours.
